SAVE THE DATE 16-20.6.2019: 12th International Symposium on Pediatric Pain (ISPP 2019) in Basel

ISPP 2019 will be held in Switzerland

Four months from today, the 12thInternational Symposium on Pediatric Pain (ISPP) will be held in Basel, Switzerland. For the duration of nearly five days, you will enjoy a high-quality education event with interesting lectures, inter-professional workshops and poster presentations. A personal exchange with renowned world experts in the field of child and adolescent pain is guaranteed.

The latest insights and innovative treatments of acute and chronic pain of children and adolescents will be presented and discussed at the International Symposium on Pediatric Pain (ISPP 2019) in Basel. Researchers, clinical experts, and professionals from diverse professions will meet and discuss issues related to pediatric pain in an international and inter-professional context. The overarching theme of the ISPP 2019 is “Children and Families as Partners in Pain Management”. The perspectives and experiences of children and their families are an important part of the ISPP program 2019 and will guide the event to issues relevant to everyday practice. 

ISPP is held biennially and is supported by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) and the Special Interest Group on Pain in Childhood (SIG). The Bern University of Applied Sciences, Department of Health Professions will be the local host of ISPP 2019 in Basel. The organization of the symposium is also supported by numerous Swiss pediatric institutions in the medical and nursing fields and by the canton of Basel-City.
